First, if you are working, and you get an attractive female customer, there's absolutely NOTHING wrong with picking her up.
It actually happens all the time.
I remember one time I was in a deli, and the guy behind the counter - he was probably a college senior or grad student - couldn't take his eyes of this cute frizzy haired black woman at a table across the room.
He even screwed up my order! He was so obvious that some of the people in line were chuckling and making comments like "wow he's in love!"
The thing was, none of us were upset at the guy. It was charming.
Keep in mind, this was a DELI. This guy kept leaving the counter to check on this girl - he would squat down, put his hand on her leg and ask her if there was anything else she needed.
He did this like 3 times, while the rest of us waited.
The reason why no one got mad at him was because he was sincere, and had this quality of vulnerability. He wanted her, and he was going for it despite the social embarrassment he was facing.
And everyone was amused and charmed.
However, if this guy was doing this everyday, or was pursuing this woman in a way that really screwed up the flow of business, his boss would have none of it and he'd be fired.
So my opinion on that is, don't be the pickup artist at work. If you have a female customer that you really want, go for it, but be respectful, and don't let your boss see you NOT working.
On the other hand, you can make it a habit to flirt with ALL your female customers, and let them show interest in YOU. But this is only possible in jobs where you have a lot of interactions with women.
"What jobs are easiest for meeting women?"
Well, obviously anything in the modeling industry or show business well get you dealing with attractive women - the film industry, fashion photography, or being a model yourself.
Promoting nightlife events - arranging parties and reserving tables for clubs - will get you meeting TONS of women, and you will be in a position of authority, so that will add to your attractiveness.
My good friend Julian does this full time, and he's one of the most intimate prolific guys I've ever met (and that's saying a lot!)
Other more regular jobs are being a server at a restaurant, or being a bouncer or bartender, being a college professor (I know - scandalous huh!), or working in a clothing store that sells modern women's fashion.
As for dating women at work, it's actually quite common. Coworkers form most people's social circles, so that's how men and women meet in adulthood.
It's actually quite easy if you follow these three rules:
Be social, but not needy.
Go slow, and be discreet.
Don't date more than one woman at a time at work, and don't let it interfere with your job performance.
I won't say anymore than that because it's really that simple, and quite normal to date at work. I don't recommend it, but if you don't have time to date outside of work, go for it!
